About Me
Hi! I'm Debbie Dolan, owner and operator of Deborah's Palm Tree. I've been a peacemaker since I was a young child--always trying to bring calm to any situation. It is my desire to bring peace to your busy world. To fulfill that desire God has shown me, through the years, how to "seek peace and follow after it" despite the trials and busyness of daily life. I married a farmer and raised six children who are all now adults. We now enjoy four grandchildren from the fruits of that labor.
I taught full time a few years, then as my family grew I was able to use my degree in a variety of ways that allowed me to be a stay at home mom. I also love to really dig in to God's Word and share what I learn with others so I write and lead Bible Studies and give small group retreats.
Born and raised in a small town in Nebraska, I fell in love with this peaceful prairie land when doing a school assignment to celebrate Nebraska's centennial. I later taught Nebraska History. Then I had the joy of working with Shirley Blank, the creator of Nebraska Baskets. It was exciting to discover the story behind the Nebraska products--most of these produced in small towns. While working there I also discovered a love for creating and the satisfaction in seeing the expression on customers faces when they came to pick up a gift basket I created.
So, after all these years, we come to this, Deborah's Palm Tree. In this I can use my love for Nebraska, studying God's Word, writing, teaching, and creating, to bless you with peace.
