I chose this name because I love the biblical story of Deborah found in Judges 4 and 5 and... she just happens to be my namesake. Deborah was a prophetess and the only female judge in Old Testament times. Whenever the Israelites would get to a point that they couldn't handle the oppression from their enemies any longer they would cry out to God. He would then raise up a judge to help them get back in right order. As long as the judge lived, the Israelites lived in peace. There are many people in the world today who would like some order in their life. When our lives are in order we experience peace. Deborah's Palm Tree wants to help you do just that through the products and services offered.
Jgs 4:5 tells us Deborah sat under Deborah's palm tree where the Israelites would come to her to receive a word from God and have their disputes settled. Deborah's palm tree was probably a date palm common to the Judean area. The date was believed to promote longevity and cure diseases and infections. It was used to produce biblical incense, anointing oil, as well as perfumes and medicines. I thought it was interesting that the Boswalia, Commiphora and Opobalsamum date palm trees were native to an Arabian peninsula but were introduced into ancient Israel, according to legend, by seeds given to King Solomon by the Queen of Sheba. These trees produce frankincense, myrhh and the balm of Gilead. So, Deborah's Palm Tree is a place of healing.
Also, when I think of palm trees--rest, relaxation, refreshment and solitude come to mind. These are the I hope to promote.
